When I returned to the Pacific Northwest after my mother passed, I found Bremerton, by the sea where you can hear the seals bark, under tall cedars and Doug firs, a real place with real people with real concerns.

I’m here to represent you. I’ve been an insulation contractor, a union printer, a cabdriver, a wetland scientist for King County, a professor of Writing and Critical Thinking at CUNY, a novelist*, and now I tend my garden. I am running for City Council because I love Bremerton, where people are direct, practical, handy, hard-working, and very very good neighbors. Let’s work towards a livable, walkable, sustainable Bremerton.
